God Our Therapist | October 1999 A service exploring the idea of God as a therapist, helping us towards healing and wholeness. In the tent hangs a light symbolising God. The gauze of the tent is covered with patches of material of varying transparency. People were asked to write their name on tape and stick it onto the tent in a place that represented their position relative to God - which might be close to the light but hidden from it by opaque material, or far from the light but seeing it, or all varieties in between allowed by the curves of the tent and the opacities of the patches.
